Lateshia H. Butler is the Compliance Specialist in the Office of Compliance and Integrity for Mississippi State University. In this role, she investigates Title IX and other civil right complaints. She works to ensure the university’s compliance with local, state, and federal laws and university policies by providing training and outreach to faculty, staff, and students.
Prior to joining Mississippi State in 2015, Lateshia served as the Regional Program Manager for a federal non-profit, Mississippi Health Advocacy Program, which specialized in health policy, advocacy, and health care resources.
A Starkville native, Lateshia received her B. A. in Political Science and Journalism from the University of Mississippi and her Juris Doctorate from Mississippi College School of Law. Lateshia is a member of the Executive Board of United Way of North Central Mississippi and serves as an Ambassador for Greater Starkville Development Partnership. She also enjoys working with the youth in her church and community.
Lateshia and her husband, Eric, are the proud parents of Michael and Alexander.
