Lateshia Harris Butler is the Compliance Specialist for Mississippi State University. She joined the University in September of 2015. In this role, she ensures the university’s compliance with local, state, and federal laws and university policies by developing protocols and procedures and providing training and outreach to faculty, staff, and students.
Prior to joining Mississippi State, Lateshia served as the Regional Program Manager for a federal non-profit, Mississippi Health Advocacy Program, which specialized in health policy, advocacy, and health care resources.
A Starkville native, Lateshia received her B. A. degree in Political Science and Journalism from the University of Mississippi and her Juris Doctorate from Mississippi College School of Law. Lateshia is a member of the Executive Board of United Way of North Central Mississippi and serves as an Ambassador for Greater Starkville Development Partnership. She also enjoys working with the youth in her church and community.
